Sitting in her mother's womb she waited to breathe new life,
When suddenly she heard her father scream "You're an undeserving wife!"
That was soon followed by a tight slap and a couple of blows,
The baby still growing inside helplessly froze.

The baby's new room had been painted blue,
"We will have a grandson" - the grandparents just knew.
The little baby is finally born to hear her father's nasty remark,
All of a sudden there's deep silence and everything goes dark.

She finds herself in a deep casket filled with flesh, blood and tears.
That's when she realizes she's not alone, and sheds away all her fears.
All their lives were taken,
The girl child was "a burden" - so said their families who were poverty stricken.

The little baby thought to herself while taking her last & final breath..
